I AM A TECHNICAL DESIGNER, WORKING AT UBISOFT ANNECY ON STAR WARS OUTLAWS.


I like building clean scripts, efficient tools and systems, and providing the best experience for the players.

Holder of a master's degree in Game Design & Management, from Supinfogame Rubika school.

As I am a long time musician, I am also very interested in the relationship between game and sound, how they can interact with each other.

SCRIPTING

As a Technical Designer my job revolves primarely around scripting, this is what I do on a daily basis. Be it for game systems or gameplay, or to provide usable pieces of logic for other team members. I focus on re-usability and optimization. I also like to get involved in creating visual style guidelines and best practices for the team when it comes to visual scripting.

SYSTEMS - TOOLS - PROCEDURAL

I've had the occasion to build several game systems in close collaboration with programmers. This also involves maintaining clean data and making sure we have the means available in data to achieve what we want. My basic skills in C# also allow me to create tools for the editor, and facilitate the work of other team members. Finally, I've been involved in the design of procedural tools.

LEVEL DESIGN

Flow, pacing and staging are things I'm sensible to. I really consider Level design and Game design to be two sides of the same coin, and I think the Level designer is the one that, in the end, shapes the player's experience. That is why I decided to focus on Level design earlier in my career.

GAME DESIGN

Game design was at the heart of my school curriculum for 5 years at Supinfogame. I was Game designer on many projects, and often as a Lead. I am able to make game concepts, to design 3Cs and prototype them, and I have a special affinity with the design of systems and rational design.

COMMUNICATION - PRESENTATION

Communication is a central part of my day to day job, be it within the Tech Design team or with other collaborators. I'm always mindful to share information in a clear and efficient manner, and to make sure everyone is on the same page when it comes to collaborative work. In relation to this, I have a sensibility for presenting things, and I'm always keen to put in the extra effort in to make the information the most readable and "easy on the eyes" as possible.

MUSIC - SOUND DESIGN

I am a long time musician, and have always been interested in sound in general. I worked as a composer and sound designer on various projects, for school projects and for professional games.
